Why Public Policy

Only Congress by funding the National Institutes of Health (NIH) can allocate the money needed to support research. Science has learned 95% of what is known about Alzheimer's Disease in the past 15 years. The key to continuing this progress and realizing a future without Alzheimer's disease is ensuring that the NIH has the resources it needs to fund promising research. With ongoing research there will be prevention, risk factor identification, early detection with successful intervention and an end to progressive, degenerative dementia.
