Why do you think we need clean energy?

Do you believe we need clean energy? If so, why? Ex: Greenhouse gases, the environment, our future children, providing jobs, depletion of fossil fuels, etc.

Do you think Clean Energy Stocks will be the stocks of the 21st Century.?

I think companies that provide clean energy like solar, wind and nuclear power, will be some of the best traded stocks of the future. I think they will replace Exxon, Shell and Standard Oil companies this century. It may be a few years down the road, but I think all of us can see this coming.

When do you think clean energy will become mainstream?

By clean energy, I mean forms of energy such as solar, nuclear, hydroelectric, etc. And by mainstream, I mean providing at least fifty percent of all the energy. I’m just curious as to what other people who may know more about this issue than me think. I assume it won’t be at least for 40 or 50 years since we, or at least America, is way too slow and lazy to make an extremely beneficial change such as switching to clean energy. What do you all think?

Why do environmentalists think green energy is reliable?

Did all of them forget that solar panels are extremely expensive and not cost effective, wind and most green energy are unreliable and that dams/hydro cause untold environmental damage to it’s surroundings?Do they also think that Earth is running out of space to put a few barrels underground?yes, they have become more cost-effective but are they reliable? Does no one else have answers to my other questions?

Do you think it will be possible to fly aircraft on pure biofuel?

I’m not asking because i’m incredibly green, but i’ve been reading about how the military has been running tests with 50/50 of JP-8 and Biofuel. Could aircraft fly purely on plant power one day? What goes into making biofuel like that? Also, i’m not concerned with environmental impacts of using plants for fuel. I’m just asking if it’s potentially possible to make a jet fuel using just plant material.

Anyone else in America think that biofuel is an unsustainable solution to gas shortages?

Isn’t it rather obvious that using more and more corn for biofuel spikes the price of corn since it becomes a high demand commodity? How can this help our economy when food prices have to increase due to higher animal feed prices? Any other thoughts?
