Gov’t investment in research?Gov’t mandating conversion to certain energy sources?Gov’t subsidies?Increase taxes on oil and coal?Leave it alone and let the private sector sort it out?Something else?To Bad Wolf – a clean energy source would be something that doesn’t pollute, and ideally, produces energy without having to refuel it. Solar and wind certainly fit this description. Natural gas is a clean-er source of energy, though not completely clean.

dont u think that hydro energy should be applied to those who live next to the sea . . . therefore this will decrease the amount of wasted energy we use. ? do i have a good point

Do you believe we need clean energy? If so, why? Ex: Greenhouse gases, the environment, our future children, providing jobs, depletion of fossil fuels, etc.

I think companies that provide clean energy like solar, wind and nuclear power, will be some of the best traded stocks of the future. I think they will replace Exxon, Shell and Standard Oil companies this century. It may be a few years down the road, but I think all of us can see this coming.

Whats more efficient in terms of power generation and maintenance, a wind turbine or a windbelt?

By clean energy, I mean forms of energy such as solar, nuclear, hydroelectric, etc. And by mainstream, I mean providing at least fifty percent of all the energy. I’m just curious as to what other people who may know more about this issue than me think. I assume it won’t be at least for 40 or 50 years since we, or at least America, is way too slow and lazy to make an extremely beneficial change such as switching to clean energy. What do you all think?
